Meg and the Disappearing Diamonds

Fun, adventurous. Meg’s friend Kerry has a little sister Cissie, and when something disappears they suspect her. So when Mrs. Parlow’s diamonds disappear - Meg was with her when they were reported stolen, and it was all over the news - then Meg’s Siamese CAT Thunder, disappears and she thinks something terrible has happened. Before he disappeared, Mrs. Glynn gave her a COLLAR with little bells, that used to make a ‘tinkle’ sound, but now made a ‘ca-thunk’ only. At the end of the book, it turned out that Mrs. Glynn had HIDDEN the STOLEN DIAMONDS INSIDE THE CAT’S COLLAR! Meg found Thunder underneath a bridge, stolen by CIssie, and he was inside a bird cage stolen by Cissie. Thunder had the collar on, and Meg disected the collar, and found the diamonds.
