Linocut

This zip download includes everything necessary to teach a printmaking unit tied to artist Albrecht Durer. There is a 2 page PDF lesson plan, which connects the art history project and art making activity to the National Core Art Standards. There is a 39 slide PowerPoint lecture that provides background of the world in which Durer lived and his artwork. The last few slides contain examples of artwork made by students. There is a 2 page PDF note guide for students to complete during the art history lecture, and an answer key is also included. Additionally, the “Linocut Tutorial” PowerPoint is composed of 88 slides with illustrative photographs and descriptive text to demonstrate the entire linocut printmaking process. Finally, there are two versions of a printmaking project rubric in this download. One rubric is worth 100 points, but there is also a blank rubric for teachers who want to edit the point values.
